We recently were blessed with a new rector for our parish. Father Donnel O'Flynn became the new priest at St. Patrick's on March 1 of 2022. We feel very blessed with the priests who have served over the last year, but are especially excited about Donnel accepting this call. He and his wife Janet have quickly become a part of the congregation and we welcome them with open arms. He has led several adult learning sessions over the past year, following our Sunday coffee hour. These discussions have allowed people to connect and discuss what is happening in the world and their lives, as well as how we can allow God to influence our present day concerns.
St. Patrick's is typical of a rural church located in a small tourist community. Bigfork is a two-season community of 4,600 in winter and 10,000 in the summer. The church has a small dedicated core congregation that grows in the summer due to the influx of snowbirds and tourists.
The Sanctuary is a newly remodeled 100 year old schoolhouse located in the foothills of the Swan Mountain Range and five miles from beautiful Flathead lake. Our Sanctuary is a quaint space that has been renovated with all the latest amenities and has made accommodations for those who are mobility challenged. We want the whole community to feel comfortable worshipping with us.
